New Updated space

 It started when I found the mirror at a garage sale for 15.00. I scraped all the gold leafing off and spray painted it turquoise.  I was thrilled how easy it was to paint.

My daughter moved out in to her own apt. and left this room open for my new office!  I am happy with the way it turned out.

The last picture is a flour sack my mom picked up for me in Montana. I love it!

This room had an entire paint job(oyster white) and I moved my sweet little antique vanity up from the basement. I found the corner shelf at a garage sale for 30.00. It was all ready painted the color I wanted. 

All though it was sad to see my daughter move out, I love my new office space!

Little kitchen touch ups

We added this glass top to our solid mahogany wood dining room table.

 These light fixtures and set up are not my favorite. But with two of them right smack in the middle of the kitchen we decided to paint them white. They will work for now :)

 My friend cut the wood out of these two cabinets above our fridge. I'm going to eventually place chicken wire over the space. It will match our new hutch !

 This is our new light fixture. It used to be a builders grade brass fixture.I like this one, my husband picked it out!

I'm still looking around my kitchen and adding little touches here and there. It is fun:)

 A ton of sanding

 Choosing hard wear. I chose the top  handle and the knob.

 Priming drawers.

 This paint is Awesome. I had it tinted with Benjamin Moore Dove White.

 My homemade key to where my cabinets and Drawers are located. I numbered all of them so I was sure to get them back in the correct place.

 I primed and painted all the drawers first.  Then I put all the drawer hard wear on.

 The following are pictures of the painting process.

 I did sand the cabinet and drawer base. I covered most of the cabinets with newspaper. The others I took everything completely out and cleaned them.

 The garage floor was set up as the paint station. I used boards or what ever I could find to lay them on.

 Taaa Daaaaa...Some little fun details here. I put a fun decal below the sink and purchased a new fun rug.

 Still working on this. I'm going to paint inside the space above the refrigerator and add some little brackets

 This cabinet holds my cookbooks! I love the way it turned out!

 Just had custom glass top made for this table. The wood is Mahogany, it's gorgeous!

Sneak Peak at my kitchen facelift

This is the spring I'm finally painting over that ugly oak to a beautiful Dove white!

 

 Here is a sneak peak on my kitchen face lift...I love it so far! The hardware is exactly what I dreamed of and it looks so much better.

The weather is warmer today so I am starting my cabinets. The first coat of primer goes on today. Stay posted for more updates and then a final post on the entire makeover!

Sweet Provincial French cupboard

 I have not been on here forever. I have neglected my blog. Truth is ,I'm not baking as much these days. My husband and son are athletes, I am a runner and truthfully we just don't eat as much..well I should rephrase that, we eat healthier!  
  Life has been good ! I am remodeling my kitchen..above is the  hutch I just purchased. I'm absolutely in love with it. I love the chicken wire instead of glass.  This is the hutch I replaced....

It was time to go:)  My next project is painting my oak kitchen cabinets and drawers white! I will post pictures as soon as I'm done!

Pretty Winter White Snowman!

My latest craze is Spray paint! I have had some fun times transforming some pretty ugly things . It's amazing what a little color  change can do!
My latest project was to spray paint my gold snowman  stocking holders to white! I do love the new look.

 You can't really see the bead board..but that's what it is..bead board wall covering. Only 19.99 from Lowe's.  I primed with a special primer for wall covering( it's like glue) then cut,wet and put it on. It's so easy and looks like real wood bead board! I spray painted the Stools an Espresso Brown using  Hammered Rustoleum !

I love the way everything turned out!
